The Republic of Cyprus is considered by many people as an ideal and attractive country to live and retire primarily due to the warm weather throughout the year, the safety, the stability of its economy and all other privileges that any European state provide to its residents.

The Cypriot government’s intention over the last years to increase foreign direct investment, in order to boost the country’s economic development. The Cyprus government has modified the relevant “Aliens and Immigration Regulation” into a more simplified one in order to approve and issue Residence Permits to a non-European applicants and qualifying dependents that would like to stay as permanent residents in Cyprus provided that the certain requirements and criteria are met and are outlined further down. The Cyprus Permanent Residency does not expire and there is no need for renewal. In essence, it is an unlimited Cyprus residency permit.

The Greece Golden Visa

Under the Immigration and Social Integration Code (Law 4251/2014, Government Gazette 1, no 80), non-EU nationals and their family members may be granted a Greek permanent residency permit in exchange for an investment in real estate.

Investment may be purchasing real estate property, or a timesharing agreement with a duration of at least 10 years, or lease with a duration of at least 10 years of hotel facilities or furnished homes in combined tourist facilities.
It doesn’t matter whether the property is commercial or residential.

The minimum investment must be at least €250,000.

The Greek permanent residence permit has a duration of 5 years, renewable, provided that you still own the property.

Family members include the spouse, the lineal descendants of the spouses, who are under 21 years old, and the lineal ascendants of the spouse.
